How to Return a Book
WE AIM TO PLEASE!!!
As much as we try, we occasionally make a mistake
and repeat a selection, or we send a book that you already have.
All books are returnable at all times, for any reason, as long as they are in
an unread, saleable condition.
If it is our mistake: and we have repeated a selection, we will of course pay for the shipping back to us. Usually the best course of action is for you to contact us via email or our toll free telephone number, and we will send a UPS call tag to pick the book up from your home. All you need to do is put the book back in the package it arrived in or any kind of envelope that fits the book, include a little note with your name and address, seal it up, put your name on the package, and leave it where you normally receive UPS packages. You do not need a label. The UPS man will have a label with him when he comes to pick up the package.
If You Already Own the Book from Another Source: you are still welcome to return the book you received from the Book Club. Just put the book back in its original packaging, or any envelope that fits the book, include a little note with your name and address and reason for return, seal it up, put your name on the package, and send it back to us. We will be glad to send a replacement book when the return arrives back at the Book Club.
If You Wish to Return a Book Because You Just Don't Want It: You are always welcome to return a book for any reason, including just not liking it. Simply put the book back in it's original packaging, or any envelope that fits the book, include a little note with your name and address and reason for return, seal it up, put your name on the package, and send it back to us. We will be glad to send a replacement book when the return arrives back at the Book Club. One important note: We care very much about your opinion of any book that arrives from the Book Club, including negative opinions. It helps us to do a better job of finding books for you if we know why you didn't like a particular book. Sometimes it's difficult to get a child to articulate what they don't like about a book, but if you can manage to get it out of them, we'd like to hear it. We keep everything we hear about your child's book interests in a file, and when we are ready to pick another book for that child, we consider all the information we have. This is not a sales pitch, it is the absolute truth—EVERY BOOK WE SEND OUT HAS BEEN HAND PICKED FOR YOUR CHILD. If we goof, we want to know about it so that we can fix it.
Some Reasons Why a Book May Not Work for Your Child:
The level is too easy or too hard.
The book is a pop-up and it bothers you when your child plays too hard with it.
The book contains subject matter that you are not comfortable with.
In all these cases we would like to know your objections.
